We are looking for a talented Technical Engineer (2nd or 3rd Line) to join our engineering team.
This role offers flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week, with the rest of the week based at our scenic offices overlooking Skiddaw.

Location: Keswick, Lake District
Office-Based 3-4 Days Per Week/Hybrid Working
Accessible from Carlisle, Cockermouth, Penrith, Workington & Windermere
Salary: £27,000 - £37,000 (depending on experience)
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Company: An established IT support and bespoke website design firm offering managed services, server and network installations, wired & wireless networks, VOIP, and hosting solutions.
Your Background: IT support, user desktop support, server and cloud services, IP networks, Windows Servers, MSP experience.

This role is based at our Keswick office with flexibility for 1-2 days remote work.
The Technical Engineer Role:
Seeking a skilled and motivated engineer to support a range of technologies including cloud solutions, VoIP, infrastructure projects, and cybersecurity. The role involves problem-solving and hands-on engineering, with a friendly and flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for servers, networks, cloud platforms, and VoIP systems
* Designing, quoting, and delivering Windows Server infrastructure and backup solutions
* Remote, phone, and on-site client support across Cumbria and beyond
* Ensuring systems security and cybersecurity best practices
* Collaborating with other engineers and supporting junior team members
About You:
Essential Skills:
* Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365
* Understanding of networking fundamentals
* Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach
* Full UK driving license
Nice to Have:
* 3+ years in IT support
* Experience with VoIP and MSP tools like ConnectWise or NinjaRMM
* Familiarity with firewalls (Sophos, Cisco, Ubiquiti)
* Experience with Datto, Veeam, ShadowProtect, ESET
* Industry certifications and a willingness to learn
