Role: Senior ODP (Anaesthetics, Scrub, Recovery) Location: The Wellington Hospital Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Shifts: 4 or 5 days a week, occasional weekends Contract: Permanent Salary: Competitive Shift Enhancements The Wellington Hospital – the UK’s largest private hospital, rated Good by the CQC – is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join our dynamic, well-established theatre team. With 13 theatres and a strong reputation for excellence, this is an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level. About the Role We are looking for a skilled ODP with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in theatres, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Anaesthetics Scrub Recovery Experience in robotic-assisted surgery is highly desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Expertise in Urology and Orthopaedics will also be highly valued. If you are dual trained, that would be fantastic; however, we are committed to developing our team and can offer training to broaden your skills across other theatre specialities. What Will You Bring? We are looking for candidates who bring: NMC or HCPC registration (essential) At least 5 years’ theatre experience Strong knowledge and skills in scrub, recovery, or anaesthetics A passion for delivering safe, high-quality patient care Confidence working in a multidisciplinary theatre environment A proactive approach to learning and development – with an enthusiasm for robotics, orthopaedics, or urology The ability to support and mentor junior staff while leading by example Why Join Us?
