Job Description At the heart of every Williams Racing car lies a symphony of hydraulic engineering and we’re looking for a skilled technician to help orchestrate it. If you thrive on precision, performance, and pushing boundaries, this is your chance to be part of the team that powers race, test, PR, and customer cars to victory. From PAS to BBW and dampers, your expertise will ensure every component meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and competitiveness. Main Duties: Build, strip, and service WF1 and customer hydraulic components, including but not limited to PAS, BBW, and dampers, to a consistently high standard of competitiveness, safety, and reliability, ensuring all assemblies conform to current engineering and manufacturing policies and procedures. Carry out duties as instructed by the Hydraulic Assembly Team Leader, as per the daily work list. Critically evaluate all components during assembly and disassembly, ensuring their integrity and reporting any faults. Operate pass-off and test rigs as required. Highlight any assembly or quality issues to the Team Leader or relevant design authority. Ensure all assemblies are completed within deadlines. Record and maintain all build and component information in the relevant systems. Maintain the component assembly work environment and equipment to the highest standards of tidiness, presentation, and safety. Key Accountabilities: Fulfil all organisational expectations, including but not limited to the following: Understanding and working in line with Williams Values & Behaviours, encouraging others to do the same. Ensuring compliance with health and safety obligations. Maintaining high personal standards of behaviour and conduct, acting as a positive ambassador for the department. Adhering to brand guidelines and maintaining high standards of departmental presentation. Working to quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement in departmental and personal performance. Understanding and complying with cost cap rules and requirements. Core Competencies: Ensure 100% adherence to work standards at all times. Maintain a strong focus on quality, with an eye for detail—never allow a defect to be passed on. Demonstrate effective communication skills, with the ability to share technical information clearly and succinctly across all levels of the business. Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Always adhere to WF1 health and safety policies and procedures.
