The apprentice will join a supportive and knowledgeable team that is committed to mentoring, collaboration and personal development. IDS places great importance on learning and growth, ensuring apprentices are supported every step of the way. Alongside hands-on experience in a real IT environment, the role includes structured off-the-job training through 2-day training blocks every 46 weeks delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships, providing a strong foundation of technical knowledge, industry best practice, and recognised qualifications to support long-term career progression within the business. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Reset user passwords and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Support security controls including antivirus, encryption, conditional access, and group policies. Provide technical support via phone, email, Teams, and face-to-face. Log, manage, and resolve IT tickets using Jira Service Management. Escalate unresolved issues in line with SLAs. Document IT processes and fixes using SharePoint and Confluence. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using Intune, ESET, and system tools. Install, configure, and upgrade hardware such as laptops and firewalls. Monitor network traffic and system performance. ?Support Microsoft 365 cloud services and gain exposure to server environments. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge Genuine interest in IT and technology, with a willingness to learn new systems and tools. Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically when troubleshooting. Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach. Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from senior staff. Good time management and organisational skills, with attention to detail. Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to learning and self-development. Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English. Salary, Hours?&?Benefits: £18,000-£20,000 per annum. 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. 21 days annual leave including bank holidays. Birthday off.
