About us

As a school we are creative in our curriculum and we treat each child as an individual; because of this, learning and progress is at the centre of everything we do. We work towards making the selective system irrelevant. We have 870 students, with a growing 6th form and over 100 staff at the school.

About the role

You will be joining a department that is comprised of a Head of Performing Arts, Drama specialist and a Lead teacher of Music.

Music provision at the school has grown in recent years, the school is now in it’s third year of offering GCSE Music.

The school works closely with the Bucks Music Trust, to provide peripatetic music lessons and in addition has a post 16 offer for Musical Theatre via Buckinghamshire Performing Arts.

We are very supportive of Music and the Performing Arts and students are very keen to participate in Music in all forms.

This is an exciting time to join our school as we have recently joined Danes Educational Trust, so there is a network of specialist Music teachers to collaborate with.

The Department benefits from a fortnightly timetabled collaborative planning period, giving staff time to reflect on subject pedagogy and continuously strive to improve.
