Are you an experienced laboratory professional or technical auditor with in-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025? Looking for a role that takes you beyond the bench and into a national-level impact?
We're working with a leading UK accreditation body to find a technically strong Assessment Manager to join their established team overseeing accredited testing organisations across sectors like agri-food, asbestos, and life sciences.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead assessments (on-site and remote) of UK-based testing laboratories
* Evaluate technical competence and ensure compliance with accreditation standards (primarily ISO/IEC 17025)
* Write detailed, accurate assessment reports and provide professional recommendations
* Collaborate with a range of industry stakeholders including lab managers, quality leads, and auditors
* Travel across the UK to support national-level quality assurance
Ideal Background
* Strong experience in testing, auditing, or scientific laboratory work
* Solid understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 or similar quality frameworks
* Confident communicator with strong report writing and critical thinking skills
* Comfortable working autonomously and managing a varied schedule
* Willingness to travel regularly across the UK (expenses covered)
