Position Description
Product Development (PD) is the change & transformation think tank within MSFS that sets the technology strategy and priorities for the fund services business. The PD team leads the product plans, gathers user requirements, facilitates design reviews with the business, and manages rollout plans including QA, user testing and staff training, delivering final products. The team collaborates with business and technology across multiple global locations.
Team
The current opening is for the Client Computing Solutions (CCS) Team within PD. The CCS Team develops tools to resolve complex business problems that are often time-sensitive and highly customized for clients. The team focuses on areas such as investor services, investor allocation, regulatory reporting, capital activities and trade transaction management. Members typically have strong technical education and have studied finance or accounting to apply their skills. The CCS Team emphasizes rapid turnaround and end-to-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with executive management & business users across locations to understand/document business requirements, detail use cases and propose solution options
* Design & develop flexible, scalable solutions
* End-to-end ownership of tools built for client processes
* Envision scenarios and incorporate them into solutions
* Own deliverables across the automation journey to ensure use cases and scenarios are documented and analyzed
* Create & manage project plans, identify risks & issues, report progress and track project benefits
* Develop training plans and provide trainings to team members and users as needed
* Demonstrate versatility across roles including but not limited to Business Analyst, Developer, Project Manager, Tester & Business User
Qualifications & Skills Required
* BSc/MSc or equivalent in computer science, mathematics, economics or related software engineering field, plus MBA or CFA or equivalent finance/accounting certification
* Experience with Hedge fund accounting is a plus
* Programming skills in any language; VBA or Python experience is a plus. Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI/ML tools is a plus
* Interest and skills in technology and process management
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
* Knowledge of databases and handling large datasets is a plus
* Strong project management skills and ability to lead projects with minimal supervision
* Working knowledge of project management tools like JIRA, Rally or similar
* Strong communication skills to interface with executive management, business users and technology teams across locations
* Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders for prioritization and requirements tracking
* Ability to work in a globally distributed, matrix environment and handle pressure with high accuracy
* Proactive, positive, self-motivated team player
