Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting, particularly with babies under 2 years of age.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development and wellbeing.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment that supports the needs of all children.
* Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
* Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Skills
* Strong team player to support colleagues effectively.
* Previous experience working within a nursery and with under 2s is essential.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A caring attitude towards children, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
