Shift Pattern: Double Days (alternating mornings and afternoons)
Rate: £24.64 per hour (PAYE) / £32.96 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role
We're working in partnership with Airbus UK to recruit a Quality Lineside Engineer to join the Quality team at their Broughton site. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a hands-on role in supporting manufacturing operations, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, and contributing directly to product safety and customer confidence.
You'll work closely with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams, acting as a key point of quality expertise on the shop floor. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and making a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Quality Lineside Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring quality requirements are met across products, processes, and services. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Providing specialist quality support and advice on drawings, parts, processes, and support services
2. Independently assuring that quality standards and certification requirements are consistently applied
3. Conducting quality surveillance activities to ensure adherence to the Quality Management System
4. Leading and coordinating investigations into quality and technical issues raised by internal teams or customers
5. Carrying out initial investigations into non-conformances, events, and quality issues to identify probable root causes
6. Supporting corrective and preventative actions through structured problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration
7. Investigating process confirmation findings and ensuring appropriate actions are implemented
8. Compiling and presenting quality performance overviews to leadership within the business area
This role offers real visibility and influence, with the opportunity to contribute directly to continuous improvement initiatives on site.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates with practical quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience is valued over formal qualifications.
Key skills and experience include:
9. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
10. Strong problem-solving capability using tools such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, or similar methodologies
11. Confidence working with data-analysing trends, interpreting charts, and drawing conclusions
12. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and build effective working relationships
13. Experience working as part of integrated, cross-functional teams
14. Background in quality or engineering within a large-scale manufacturing environment (highly desirable)
Experience from industries such as aerospace, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing is particularly relevant.
Shift Pattern & Working Arrangements
This role operates on a Double Days shift pattern, alternating weekly between:
15. Morning shift: 6:00am - 1:10pm
16. Afternoon shift: 1:30pm - 8:40pm
A 20% shift uplift applies. The role is fully onsite at the Broughton facility, with no travel
