Children’s Home Support Worker

Salary: £12.75 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and resilient Children’s Home Support Worker to join our team in Enfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people living in residential care.
You will provide day-to-day support, guidance and encouragement to help young people develop life skills, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide practical and emotional support to children and young people
* Promote a safe, caring and structured home environment
* Support with daily routines including education, appointments and activities
* Encourage positive behaviour and personal development
* Work in line with care plans and risk assessments
* Maintain accurate records and reports
* Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
* Work collaboratively with social workers, families and other professionals
About You
* Experience working with children and young people (residential care experience desirable)
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and supportive manner
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable, flexible and committed
* Willingness to undertake relevant training
A Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable but not essential.
