Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Gateshead Contract Type: Long term temporary Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for an alternative provision in Gateshead. The role involves supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 learners who have transitioned from mainstream education due to SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, or low-level or unidentified SEND. The provision works closely with pupils to identify and address underlying needs, delivering tailored support that enables each young person to progress and succeed. With access to in-house mental health specialists, the setting supports students from Year 7 to Year 11, with a strong focus on reintegration into mainstream education or guiding learners towards the provision best suited to their individual needs. The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is a long-term position.
