Job Title: WMS Consultant

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The responsibilities of a Consultant include many of the day-to-day tasks involved with implementing products for Tier 1, 2, and 3 clients. The Consultant works to ensure successful implementation resulting in a reference-able client. This includes understanding and making recommendations for the client's functional flow, taking responsibility for MA product configuration and data set-up, maintaining the issues list, unit testing the base functions and modifications, and on-site support during the client's go live. The Consultant can expect 50 - 75% travel. Consults with client to define need or problem, conducts studies and surveys to obtain data, and analyses data to advise on or recommend solution by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Understands and enforces product implementation Methodology.
* Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of advanced Warehouse Management systems functionality.
* Support/Leads functional and detail design effort, including interface and MHE design.
* Understand Functional scope and assess client’s ability to change relative to that scope.
* Identify and address core business requirements.
* Facilitate the determination of MA product functional fit and gaps relative to core business requirement.
* Supports development of functional flow, development of detail design documents, conversion strategy, and implementation strategy (project plan).
* Ensure upgradeability of client’s design.
* Support/complete risk assessment pf project.
* Support Conference Room prototype.
* Provide on-site support during Go-Live.
* Assist in transition of Customer Support.
* Attain client goals and objectives within mutually agreed upon budget parameters and timeline.
* Proactively identify critical business issues and drive to resolution, memorializing issues as appropriate.
* Develop professional relations with client team members, including Executive Sponsor.
* Complete project status reports.
* Sets clear expectations with client and internal resources.
* Maintain positive working relationships with clients and internal support resources.
* Obtains authorizations from client prior to performing consulting services.
* Update and maintain project documentation and project folder in a timely manner.
* Identify and escalate issues within the reporting structure.
* Account for appropriate and accurate time and forecast entry.
* Maintain billability of 80% and proactively address billability and utilization with your counsellor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise efforts of consultants as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree or equivalent in an Engineering, logistics, information systems or related technical field preferred. Product implementation experience and demonstrable advanced Warehouse Management implementation experience and understanding or equivalent demonstrable skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
