If it doesn’t smell like a bakery, then maybe you’re in the wrong job. Imagine that smell every day.
You will be responsible for the innovative development of retail coatings for both branded and customer own label products from concept through to launch. You will work with customers, conduct factory trials of new products, develop strong relationships with colleagues and customers and take responsibility for your own administration. You will develop innovative products, both proactively and in response to customer briefs, that will exceed the customers’ expectations.
Ideally, you will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a food related discipline, have experience of concept development in a food manufacturing environment and be willing to undertake frequent travel within the UK and occasional travel overseas. You will have excellent communication, organisation, negotiation and problem-solving skills and will be a motivated self-starter. Please see the full job description for all other expectations.
Personal development here is key, you’ll have a plan set out so you can continuously improve to become the best at what you do. Development is important to these guys, with on-site investment in new technology and more importantly their people. It’ll need to be important to you, too.
Salary wise, the role in on at between £30,000 to £40,000 (DOE). You’ll also get 23 days plus bank holidays, plus a holiday buy and sell scheme of up to 5 days, a Health care cash plan and a Premium Employee Assistance Programme, as well as many other perks.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
