Job Description: Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Arabic Speaking\nLocation: Southwark, London\nJob Type: [Full-time / Part-time / Temporary]\nReports to: Senior Nurse / Ward Manager / Care Supervisor\nAbout the Role:\nWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant who is fluent in Arabic to join our team in Southwark. The ideal candidate will support nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients, and providing assistance with daily living activities. Your Arabic language skills will be essential for effective communication with Arabic-speaking patients and their families.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * \n Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, while maintaining dignity and respect.\n * \n Assist nursing staff with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure), recording observations, and reporting changes in patient condition.\n * \n Support patients with mobility, including helping them to move safely around the ward or care facility.\n * \n Communicate effectively with Arabic-speaking patients, families, and colleagues to ensure clear understanding and compassionate care.\n * \n Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required.\n * \n Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.\n * \n Follow all health and safety and infection control policies.\n * \n Document care activities and report any concerns to senior staff promptly.\n * \n Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.\nPerson Specification:\n * \n Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) – essential.\n * \n Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar care role preferred but not essential.\n * \n Caring, empathetic, and patient-focused approach.\n * \n Good communication and interpersonal skills.\n * \n Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.\n * \n Basic understanding of clinical procedures and infection control.\n * \n Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.\n * \n Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of patients.\nQualifications:\n * \n DBS\n * \n MANUAL HANDLING\n * \n REFERENCES
