As a Pastry Chef you will be responsible for the operation of the entire Pastry station, preparing items for Restaurant and Events that have request specific pastry requirements, Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in ensuring the correct preparation of pastry.
Making pastry and desserts for the Restaurant, Function Rooms and Room Service.
Ensuring standards of performance in order to maximise food sales.
Supporting the team in other areas of the kitchen.
Ensuring that health and safety procedures are implemented at all times and to comply with hygiene regulations.
Helping design menus, ordering and assisting with the development of staff within the team.
You should be used to working in a mixed corporate and leisure environment where you had undertaken kitchen management duties including working within hygiene regulations would be well suited to this position.
On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Pastry Chef. With this in mind, we are looking for a Pastry Chef who:
At least NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation/Pastry equivalent.
Previous 4 or 5 star hotel experience or worked within a high quality Restaurant with Rosette experience.
