Role Overview
The Head of Sales will own and drive all revenue-generating activity across wholesale, trade, retail B2B, D2C, e-commerce and export markets. This is a senior leadership role responsible for revenue strategy, sales team leadership, channel expansion, key account management and international growth.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute a multi-channel sales strategy aligned to company growth targets. Own annual revenue forecasting, budgeting and target setting. Identify and unlock new revenue streams across domestic and international markets.
Channel Leadership Wholesale & Trade
* Drive profitable growth across wholesale, trade, retail B2B, D2C, e-commerce and export
* Build and scale national wholesale and trade distribution
* Negotiate commercial terms and supply agreements
* Expand product penetration within existing accounts
* Identify and onboard new strategic partners
Retail B2B
* Secure and grow relationships with retail partners
* Manage joint business planning with key accounts
* Deliver margin-positive growth across store networks
* Collaborate with marketing to optimise online conversion and revenue
* Drive promotional strategy, pricing and campaign alignment
* Oversee sales performance across owned e-commerce platforms and marketplaces
* Develop and execute international expansion strategy
* Appoint and manage distributors in target markets
* Ensure regulatory and commercial compliance across territories
* Scale export revenue sustainably and profitably
Leadership & Team Development
* Build, lead and develop a high-performance sales team
* Set clear KPIs and performance metrics across all channels
* Implement structured reporting and pipeline management
* Create a culture of ownership, accountability and results
Commercial & Operational Excellence
* Own pricing strategy, margin optimisation and commercial terms
* Work closely with operations, supply chain and finance to ensure delivery capability
* Drive CRM adoption and sales reporting accuracy
* Provide regular board-level reporting on revenue performance
What We’re Looking For
* Strategic thinker with strong execution capability
* Highly commercial with strong financial acumen
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-performance culture
* 8–12+ years’ senior sales experience in a multi-channel environment
* Proven success scaling revenue across wholesale, trade, retail B2B, D2C and e-commerce
* Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams
* Strong background in commercial negotiation and key account management
* Experience managing multi-million revenue targets
* Advanced understanding of margin management and commercial modelling
* Experience within health, fitness, supplements, lifestyle or performance-driven brands (not essential)
* Experience launching products into new international territories (not essential)
