About this Team
Global Communications consists of three specialism-based teams: Strategic Communications (which is comprised of three pillars: the Global Reputation Campaigns and Programs team, the Media Relations & Issues Management team and the Social Media team), Internal Communications, and Leadership Communications.
Role SummaryThis role will focus on internal communications business partnering key areas of the firm, working with senior KPMG International leaders and their teams to plan and deliver effective internal communication programs in support of our Trust & Growth strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Acting as internal communications business partner to senior leaders and their support teams, building trusted advisor relationships with them.
2. Accountable for the successful development and execution of internal communications, including tailoring strategic messaging, drafting and developing communications, segmenting audiences and measuring success.
3. Bringing innovative and creative thinking to the table, working with designated leaders to deliver best-in-class internal communications

The role will drive communication approaches to protect and enhance the firm’s reputation and support its overall Trust and Growth ambition. This is a challenging role that will involve day-to-day liaison with KPMG leadership, national firms and third parties. All outputs and outcomes must be to the highest standard and the successful candidate will need to display exceptional communication and influencing skills, agility, as well as a keen sense of business acumen and professional judgement.

Key Accountabilities65% - The Senior Manager has the following accountabilities:

4. Develop, manage and execute compelling internal communication programs aimed at supporting the delivery of key business areas programs and objectives.
5. Develop strong and trusted relationships with senior leaders and their support teams, understanding their commercial priorities and how internal communications can support their objectives.
6. Deliver and execute effective internal communications in support of the business strategy, and in alignment with Global Communications strategy.
7. Leverage KPMG communications channels to effectively communicate to all levels of the global environment, as well as how to reach local audiences, leveraging local networks as appropriate.


30% - To demonstrate energy, innovation and creativity

8. Be an active member of Global Communications, supporting other Communication teams as required.
9. Support broader Corporate Affairs commitments and deliverables.
10. Champion the use of new, innovative ways of communicating with stakeholders.
11. Work KPMG’s Global Functions and Sectors to ensure a joined up and integrated approach to communications.


10% - Measurement and resource management

12. Oversee Central Services support for your campaigns and programs e.g. Events, Editorial, Design and others comprising a mix of in-house, outsourced and offshored resources.
13. Lead engagement with regions and countries on adoption, development and roll-out of programs.
14. Establish KPIs for campaigns and programs.
15. Provide end-to-end budget oversight for campaigns and programs
16. Oversee measurement and reporting on campaigns, budgetary spend and measure and analyze the success of global communications activities.
17. Undertake campaigns and program reviews and take learning into future campaigns and programs.



Experience / Qualifications / Knowledge

18. An internal communications experienced professional with demonstrable experience in senior internal communications business partnering.
19. Experience in professional services and/or a B2B environment.
20. Strong influencing and communication skills to act professionally, calmly and persuasively when dealing with key internal stakeholders.
21. Experience working with senior management.
22. Experience of developing compelling value propositions for services/campaigns.
23. Willingness to work flexible hours as required - connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones.
24. Proven project management skills with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse and often widespread stakeholders. Experience of the above in a global, matrix context would be advantageous.
25. Excellent writing and communication skills, with an ability to grasp business objectives and translate into actionable technical and functional requirements.
26. Comfort with wide variety of cultural differences and skill sets and ability to work a flexible schedule to interact with colleagues in other time zones around the world.
27. Proven ability to create, engage and maintain a strong professional network to achieve corporate goals.

Description of level of Qualifications

34. Bachelor’s degree Communications or related field from an accredited university or college.
