Overview
The F1 Logistics & Operations Planner plays a critical role in supporting the planning, coordination, project management, and execution of day-to-day global logistics and supply chain operations in support of Aramco Group’s F1 Fuels and Lubricants programme. Operating with a focus on service delivery, compliance, and efficiency, the role ensures timely movement of materials, accurate execution of logistics workflows, and resolution of logistics issues to ensure efficient supply of world-class fuels and lubricants, developed by Aramco and Valvoline, to the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Racing Team.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Material Planning
* Lead end-to-end planning and coordination of Aramco and Valvoline’s F1 product supply across factory, race, and testing events globally.
* Forecast demand, establish re-order points, monitor inventory level, and coordinate procurement of consumables and spare parts.
Operational & Logistical Execution
* Schedule internal blending and/or place external contracts for toll manufacturing of bespoke F1 products.
* Ensure QC processes and records are in place for manufactured and procured products.
* Manage sourcing and inventory of commercial products and raw materials.
* Coordinate with global logistics companies to meet freight requirements for 24+ race/test venues.
* Maintain import/export records and formalities.
* Ensure global trade compliance through accurate documentation, classification, and clearance processes.
* Validate export/import licences and maintain records for audits and regulatory reviews.
* Monitor evolving trade regulations and contribute to process improvements.
Packaging & Branding
* Collaborate with internal marketing and sponsorship teams to manage bespoke F1 product packaging.
* Oversee design, sourcing, production, and inventory management of packaging materials.
* Identify and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints at project level.
* Manage operational expenditure and vendor invoice tracking.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
* Participate in performance management activities and development planning.
* Implement innovation processes and quality assurance initiatives.
* Use data analysis to identify business impacts and support decision-making.
Key Tasks
* Maintain a live logistics plan covering F1 races, tests, factory deliveries, and other programme activities across Aramco, Valvoline, and the F1 team.
* Coordinate with logistics providers (e.g. DHL) to plan and execute global freight shipments, ensuring all necessary documentation and import/export formalities are completed.
* Manage relationships with freight, transport, and toll blending partners, supporting contract negotiations and service delivery.
* Oversee global inventory of products and raw materials, including HSSE and regulatory compliance documentation.
* Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to schedule manufacturing and procurement of finished goods, spares, and consumables.
* Support trackside operations with race returns paperwork and logistics planning.
* Work with marketing and sponsorship teams to deliver bespoke F1 product packaging and branding, ensuring inventory is maintained.
* Own the quality control process for F1 product supply, coordinating with formulators and technical teams to ensure end-to-end assurance.
* Maintain detailed records of product movements and provide regular updates through reports, presentations, and team meetings.
* Actively participate in performance management and development activities to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in F1 logistics and expediting
Experience
* 10+ years in planning and executing complex logistics programmes in motorsports or specialist fuels/lubricants
* Experience mentoring junior colleagues and managing stakeholder relationships
Technical Skills
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Motorsport-specific experience
* Knowledge of shipping standards for hazardous and non-hazardous goods
* APICS CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma (Green/Yellow Belt), International Trade Compliance Certification, Project Management Fundamentals
