As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Head of Paid Social to lead our Paid Social offering, drive client performance and shape the future direction of this key service area.


The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing Paid Social strategy, performance and innovation across a portfolio of retail and ecommerce clients.

You will lead a team of Paid Social specialists, act as the senior strategic contact for key clients, and work closely with agency leadership to drive growth, develop new opportunities and ensure exceptional campaign delivery.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale Paid Social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and other emerging platforms, combined with strong commercial and leadership skills.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and lead the agency's Paid Social strategy and service offering.
  • Develop innovative campaign approaches that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance through testing, automation and platform innovation.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform developments and emerging technologies.


Client Leadership

  • Act as senior strategic lead for key retail and ecommerce accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic planning sessions, campaign reviews and performance discussions.
  • Translate business objectives into effective Paid Social strategies.


Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Paid Social team.
  • Establish best practices, processes and quality standards.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.


Performance & Campaign Oversight

  • Oversee campaign planning, execution and optimisation across all Paid Social channels.
  • Ensure effective budget management and media investment strategies.
  • Monitor campaign performance against key commercial objectives.
  • Drive testing frameworks across creative, audiences, bidding and measurement.


Commercial Growth

  • Support agency growth through upselling, cross-selling and new business activity.
  • Contribute to pitches, proposals and strategic recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Paid Social services across existing client accounts.
  • Work closely with agency leadership to achieve revenue and profitability targets.


Skills & Experience

Essential

βœ” 7+ years' experience in Paid Social marketing

βœ” Significant experience within an agency environment

βœ” Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams

βœ” Expertise across:

  • Meta Ads Manager
  • TikTok Ads
  • Pinterest Ads
  • LinkedIn Ads
  • Snapchat Ads (desirable)

βœ” Strong understanding of:

  • Ecommerce performance marketing
  • Attribution and measurement
  • Audience strategy
  • Creative testing
  • Conversion optimisation

βœ” Experience managing large media budgets and complex campaigns

βœ” Strong commercial awareness and client management skills

βœ” Excellent communication and presentation abilities


Desirable

βž• Experience working with retail, fashion, lifestyle or consumer brands

βž• Experience integrating Paid Social with broader digital marketing strategies

βž• Knowledge of GA4, Looker Studio and ecommerce analytics platforms

βž• Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve campaign performance

βž• Previous responsibility for departmental budgets or revenue targets
