Build Recruitment is currently seeking a Caretaker for our client based in the Sheffield area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance, operational management, security, and supervision of the site and related equipment.
Note: You will be working through the holiday period and out of term.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform building fabric repairs, adjustments, maintenance, installations, and removals.
2. Conduct and document weekly checks and record work carried out.
3. Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed on time and adhere to Health and Safety standards.
4. Maintain site security by unlocking and locking all doors, ensuring the site is secure but accessible at all times.
5. Liaise with and oversee contractors, including cleaning contractors.
6. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, customers, and clients.
7. Report any incidents that may affect service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Skills and Qualifications
1. Experience in facility management or a similar caretaking role.
2. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
3. Willingness to attend regular appraisals and participate in personal development programs.
4. Ability to plan and prioritize workloads to meet objectives.
5. Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
6. Flexibility to handle a wide range of disciplines within skill sets.
7. Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
