Elite Security Officer – 48 hours per week, £16.00 per hour.
As an Elite Security Officer, you will safeguard high‑value assets, personnel, and premises through advanced security protocols and proactive threat mitigation. The role demands exceptional situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to respond swiftly and effectively to incidents. The position is part of our 'one team' family; an SIA licence and excellent customer service skills are required. Job Overview
Provide security services in accordance with the assigned sites' Assignment Instructions and any subsequent changes. Deliver results that meet or exceed the customer’s key performance indicators and service level agreements, ensuring the retention of the contract.
Main Duties & Operations
- Protect customers’ property, people, and assets across designated areas and multiple locations as per Assignment Instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, UK law, and guidance from the Security Account Manager.
- Complete all site duties and tasks defined in the Assignment Instructions.
- Review and update the Assignment Instructions proactively to improve service quality.
- Wear and maintain the required front‑line licence in Door Supervision at all times; complete any additional contract‑required courses.
- Follow instructions and procedures without challenging authority unnecessarily.
- Work systematically, methodically, and orderly.
- Travel to different locations within the pre‑determined geographical area.
Training & Development
- Complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and build job knowledge.
- Renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security & Health & Safety
- Identify and immediately report any health and safety hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to mitigate disruption, loss, or damage.
- Escalate situations promptly by involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct when dealing with difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Record incidents accurately in the notebook promptly; the notes support the Incident Report process.
- Adhere to scheduled check‑calls and the timing stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- Maintain commitments to Mitie and the client by keeping to schedules.
Qualifications
- Previous security experience.
- SIA licence (Door Supervisor preferred).
- Own transport or access to public transport.
