We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and committed to making a positive difference in students' lives. This role is to support one of our partner schools based in Blyth, Northumberland.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural development
Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisationRequirements
An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)
Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) is an advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer
