We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. Duties
* Assist in overseeing daily pub and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and customer satisfaction
* Supervise and coordinate team members, including serving staff, kitchen personnel, and bar staff fostering a collaborative work environment
* Support food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of culinary excellence
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of the establishment
* Manage food production schedules, monitor inventory levels, and assist with stock ordering as required
* Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance
* Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming for prompt resolution
* Assist in organising staff rotas and managing shift schedules to optimise operational efficiency
* Support the management team in implementing promotional activities and special events
Qualifications
* Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
* Experience in food safety standards and compliance procedures
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
* Previous experience in food production or culinary roles is highly desirable
* Familiarity with hospitality industry practices such as serving, barista duties, or hotel operations is advantageous
* Good communication skills and a professional demeanour suitable for guest interaction
* Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or culinary arts are preferred but not essential
