We’re now looking for a Domestic Cleaner (internally known as a Domestic Assistant) to join our Independent Living team on a permanent, part-time basis. This is a vital role that helps ensure our schemes are clean, safe, and welcoming environments for our residents. About the role As a Domestic Cleaner (internally known as a Domestic Assistant), you’ll be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the communal areas across our Independent Living schemes, helping to create safe, clean, and welcoming environments for residents. You’ll manage day-to-day cleaning duties, including monitoring and requesting cleaning stock and products, working in line with COSHH standards, and reporting any maintenance, health and safety, or safeguarding concerns to your manager. You’ll also complete online training, attend team meetings, follow policies and procedures, and keep up to date with guidance from your manager. The role is primarily based in Leyland and Penwortham, with occasional cover at other nearby schemes. While a driving licence isn’t essential, you’ll need to be happy to travel between locations when required.. What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have: Basic I.T Skills Good communication skills The confidence to remain calm and practical in emergency situations Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Desirable (but not essential): Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment Knowledge of COSHH and health & safety practices Experience working in settings supporting older people A driving licence and access to your own vehicle Why Progress?
