Our Client has an immediate field assignment for several Field Technicians to assist their Generator Maintenance team. This hands-on role will support critical telecommunication infrastructures throughout California by deploying, fueling, retrieving, and maintaining portable generator units at remote and urban job sites. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel frequently statewide are required.
The ideal candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in generator repair, field service work, mobile equipment operations, or telecom deployment. Additionally, this role requires being mechanically inclined, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, physical agility, basic mechanical troubleshooting skills, the use of basic hand tools, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, while remaining safety-focused, and comfortable with heavy travel and physically demanding field work. The following certifications are a plus: OSHA 10, CPR, First Aid, Forklift.
Job Responsibilities:
* Deploy and retrieve portable generators to and from assigned job sites.
* Perform scheduled refueling and preventative maintenance on generator units.
* Operate trailers, light-duty trucks, and lifting equipment for generator transport.
* Maintain fuel logs, service records, and documentation per company protocols.
* Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams for routing, site access, and reporting.
* Ensure proper handling of equipment and fuel remains in line with Cal/OSHA and company safety procedures.
* Work in outdoor environments and challenging weather conditions as required.
