We are looking for a Band 6 Senior Registered Nurse to join our team based at Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital in Herne Bay.
Duties include:
1. Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of holistic care.
2. Development of integrated care plans in partnership with the patient.
3. Ordering equipment and sending onward referrals as necessary.
4. Acting as a lead and senior practitioner to support junior staff in assessments and re-assessments of service users with complex needs.
5. Working as part of a multi-professional team to deliver high-quality care.
6. Undertaking clinical interventions and monitoring patient deterioration.
7. Managing a caseload of patients with complex needs and supporting in duty roles.
8. Supporting the Clinical Lead in team management.
9. Providing recommendations to senior management for service improvement and statutory compliance.
Expectations for Band 6 HCPs:
1. Providing holistic care linked to prescribed packages or projects.
2. Developing integrated care programs with senior practitioners and commissioners.
3. Supporting staff supervision and development.
4. Contributing to high-quality service delivery as part of the team.
5. Performing clinical interventions such as catheterisation, IV drug administration, verification of death, and syringe driver management.
6. Supporting junior staff with assessments of service users with complex needs.
7. Assisting senior managers to meet business and statutory objectives.
