Technical Sales Representative (Midlands)
Salary: Competitive + Uncapped Commission + Company Car
Location: Field-Based (Midlands Region)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, no weekends
The Opportunity
We are working in partnership with a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing business to support the hire of a Technical Sales Representative across the Midlands region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven individual with a technical mindset to join a market leader known for precision, innovation, and product quality. The role offers a strong blend of account management and new business development, with the autonomy to manage your own territory while being supported by a highly experienced internal team.
The Role
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and growing business across your region by building strong customer relationships and delivering tailored technical solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and developing existing customer accounts within your territory
* Identifying and converting new business opportunities across engineering and manufacturing clients
* Visiting customers on-site to understand requirements and present suitable solutions
* Providing technical guidance and product expertise across a specialist product range
* Generating and qualifying leads, working closely with internal technical specialists
* Preparing and presenting quotations, negotiating terms, and closing sales
* Maintaining accurate records using CRM and internal systems
* Supporting product demonstrations, exhibitions, and industry events
* Collaborating with internal teams including Sales, Technical, and Finance to ensure a high level of customer service
* Responding to customer queries around pricing, availability, and product capability
About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with technical understanding and a proactive approach to sales.
You will ideally have:
* Experience within a Technical Sales or Field Sales role
* A background in engineering, manufacturing, metrology, or a related technical environment
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* The ability to understand and explain technical products and solutions
* A self-motivated approach with the ability to manage your own territory
* Good organisational and time management skills
* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
