What is Fire Engineering?
Every building presents unique fire safety challenges. To fully address life safety and design aspirations, your scheme needs a unique, holistic, creative approach to developing a simple yet robust fire safety solution. Our involvement on projects spans from concept to completion, and continues through occupation and operational management, guiding clients through the building life cycle.

* Battersea Power Station – repurposed the historic landmark into a 21st Century destination, delivering bespoke designs that added value to the client and created an iconic facility for the city.
* Edward Street Quarter, Brighton – a residential mixed‑use development on the former Amex House offering new homes, retail, office space and public areas.
Responsibilities
* Develop expertise in delivering fire safety engineering solutions in a multi‑disciplinary environment, including fire strategies, engineering analysis and performance‑based designs.
* Work with team members to understand and apply fire safety legislation and design guidance in the UK and internationally.
* Carry out and review fire engineering calculations, including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis from hand calculations to complex 3D computational modelling.
* Identify appropriate fixed fire protection systems, such as automatic fire detection and suppression, to support design solutions.
* Communicate and present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
* Keep team members informed of important service/design decisions.
* Liaise with approval authorities on fire safety designs.
* Demonstrate excellent consultancy skills; manage difficult situations, negotiate and understand differing client and stakeholder needs.
