What we are looking for
We are looking for candidates to hold an undergraduate or master’s degree in subjects relevant to built heritage, building conservation, archaeology or other related degrees. Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
* A logical and analytical approach
* Great problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to use initiative and think creatively
* An understanding of the UK planning system, British history and archaeology
Work experience in Heritage is advantageous but not essential as you’ll be learning your new role on the job with support from our Graduate Training Scheme.
Role and responsibilities
As a Graduate Heritage Consultant, you will be involved in supporting a variety of projects concerning the historic built environment, including analysis of historic fabric, archaeological potential and aspects relating to setting. You will gain valuable experience with the preparation of heritage assessments, research and other consultancy work, and you will learn to provide professional advice to clients, local planning authorities and other statutory bodies across sectors and with a range of clients.
