The role
As a Radiation Protection Consultant, you’ll support our Seniors and drive technical solutions for innovative projects, interfacing with various disciplines, stakeholders, and clients. You will build networks across the business and externally, supporting your career progression and personal development.
Day-to-day, you’ll act as the technical lead on Radiation Protection for projects, including supporting and mentoring junior staff.
* Contribute to project scheduling, defining relevant deliverables, dependencies, and estimating resources, time, and costs.
* Support radiological safety to ensure legislative compliance and industry best practices.
* Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams across design and operational projects, ensuring procedures are correctly applied.
* Support the coordination of radiological protection documentation such as Dose Uptake Assessments, Radiological Zoning, Risk Assessments, ALARP Assessments, Operating Instructions, and compliance statements.
This role is full-time (37 hours/week) with hybrid working (2 days in-office, 3 days remote). It can be based in various locations across the UK.
Essential experience
* Proven experience in a radiation-related role
Qualifications
* Degree in Maths, Science, or a related field
Security Clearance
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
