Field Service Engineer – Process Weighing & Calibration About the Role We’re working in partnership with an engineering client who are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their growing service team on a permanent basis. This home-based role will see you travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas, delivering hands-on calibration, commissioning, and repair services for a range of industrial weighing and instrumentation systems. You’ll be working independently, supporting key sectors including manufacturing, food production, and industrial process control. The successful candidate will be based near Reading. Key Responsibilities * Perform on-site calibration and commissioning of weighing systems using F1/M1 test weights, flow meters, and force rigs * Install and maintain belt weighers, temperature/pressure sensors, and boiler leak detection systems * Calibrate instruments for temperature, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength * Carry out off-site repairs of scales and balances * Complete service reports and calibration certificates accurately before leaving site * Ensure all tasks comply with HSE policies and procedures Occasional Duties * Provide weekend cover (one Saturday in every three) * Support colleagues on joint service projects * Travel and overnight stays as required * Assist with in-house assembly and testing when needed What We’re Looking For Essential: * ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred) * Time-served engineer or equivalent hands-on experience in the field * Background in service/calibration of process weighing systems * Strong fault-finding skills and confidence working independently * Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required * Right to work in the UK * Full UK driving licence Package * £35,900 – £38,000 (plus overtime) * Company car, tools, and equipment * Private medical insurance * Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) * Pension, Life Assurance & Income Protection * Salary sacrifice benefits including Dental Insurance, Gym Membership, Travel Insurance, and more Interested?
