What the role involves
You’ll be supporting KS1 pupils with autism who need a consistent, nurturing presence throughout the day. No two mornings will look the same, but you’ll be helping pupils grow their confidence, communication, and independence.
Your role will include:
* 1:1 and small-group support for children with autism
* Helping pupils navigate sensory needs and emotional regulation
* Using visual timetables, routines, and structured support
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the SENCO
* Celebrating every breakthrough, no matter how small
