The Firm:
My client is a reputable law firm with over 50 members of staff across multiple branch offices across Greater Manchester who are committed to excellence, they offer a broad range of legal services, prioritizing client satisfaction. The firm’s experienced solicitors provide approachable and clear advice, alleviating client concerns with a real focus on technology.
The firm now seeks a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive to join its expanding high-street practice working in the office full-time as a Head of Conveyancing
The Role:
The successful Head of Conveyancing will oversee a team of Conveyancers across multiple branches, managing tasks such as reporting to partners at monthly meetings, conducting team meetings, leading file reviews, and assisting with departmental compliance and training. Additionally, the role involves handling a caseload of approximately 20 files per month, encompassing sales, purchases, leasehold and freehold transactions, transfers of equity, remortgages, and buy-to-let files. The Head of Conveyancing will guide the process from file opening to closing, including post-completion/registration, with the assistance of a legal assistant.
This role also has prospects to become a salaried Partner after a period of at least 6 months, which in turn would lead to a pay rise.
To Apply:
The ideal Head of Conveyancing will bring a solid understanding of property law, some experience in managing members of a team or experience working as a Head of Department in a previous role.
This Conveyancer would also need to be able to work on a file from opening to post-completion, with at least 4+ years PQE experience handling a caseload from initial quotes through to post-completion.
