Hurst Lodge School is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. About The Role As one of our in-house Occupational Therapist, you will support students with a range of sensory, motor, emotional regulation, and functional needs. Your work will empower children and young people to participate fully in school life, overcome barriers to learning, and develop independence and confidence. We have roles across both Primary and Secondary. Key Responsibilities Assess students’ functional and sensory needs within the school environment Develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes, both 1:1 and in small groups Support staff with practical strategies for classroom and daily school life Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and families to create a joined-up approach Provide written reports and contribute to student support plans Assist with whole-school initiatives to support wellbeing and inclusion We’re Looking For A qualified Occupational Therapist registered with HCPC Experience working with children and young people, ideally in schools or paediatric settings A practical, hands-on approach with a strong understanding of sensory integration and motor skills development A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills A passion for enabling all learners to thrive in a nurturing, creative environment What We Offer A warm, supportive, and forward-thinking school community A unique chance to shape and develop the school’s occupational therapy provision Flexibility around working hours and days – full/part time to be discussed Ongoing professional development opportunities A beautiful school setting with small class sizes and strong pastoral care Hurst Lodge School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
