Job summary
Frimley Park Transport team are looking for a strong, approachable and friendly individual who can work well as part of a very busy team that provides a service to our patients that are too ill, Injured or frail to travel by themselves or with family members.
This position will be Saturdays and Sundays every other weekend. This will be made up of per shift and the additional hours will be as bank.

Main duties of the job
1. Transporting non-emergency patients to and from hospital, clinics, or other healthcare facilities.Working as a double crew member, responsible for either driving the ambulance or supporting the travelling patient.Regular heavy lifting, using equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers and carry chairs.Assisting patients in and out of the ambulance, ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation.Liaising with healthcare professionals and other staff to ensure a high level of patient care.Completing patient documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner.Maintaining the ambulance equipment and supplies ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.

Job responsibilities
Successful Candidates must have a full, clean C1 manual driving License.
A caring and understanding nature, with a friendly manner.
Previous healthcare experience would be an advantage.
The ability to work in a role that requires regular heavy lifting of patients, as well as exposure to bodily fluids (including urine, faeces, vomit and blood)
A calm and considerate driver with good knowledge of UK road signs and the highway code.
Good Communication skills are essential.

2. Willing to undergo training in advanced manual handling techniques and oxygen delivery within 3 months
3. Knowledge of local area and ability to read maps.
4. Knowledge of routine vehicle checks / procedure.
5. Experience in frontline customer service.
6. Full clean driving licence with C1 category.
7. Patient Care.
