Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team in our state-of-the-art, newly redeveloped Inpatient Unit. This role is suitable for a motivated, compassionate, and flexible senior nurse with an interest in palliative care. You will work closely with the medical director and director of clinical and patient services, with opportunities to participate in education, audits, and to deliver excellent care to patients and their loved ones accessing hospice services.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within the Medical Team and with Palliative Care Consultants to deliver specialist palliative care to patients in our Inpatient Unit and Wellbeing Centre.
* Provide holistic, individualized care considering social, emotional, spiritual, and physical health.
* Support patients in achieving their best possible quality of life.
* Engage in personal and professional development, including quality improvement work.
Team and Environment
The Medical team includes a Medical Director, 2 Specialty Doctors, a GP trainee, and 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, supported by 2 Palliative Care Consultants. Collaborate with the Nursing Team, Patient Flow Team, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Complementary Therapists, Social Workers, Counsellors, and Spiritual Care Coordinators.
