What you'll do (the role) Summary We're looking for an exceptional communicator to join our Internal Communications team - someone with strategic vision, creative flair, and a passion for connecting with diverse audiences. This high-impact role will champion internal communications for corporate functions and our global people strategy, enhancing team member engagement, cultural connection, employer brand, and digital presence. A core pillar of this role will be internal digital platform ownership, with a primary focus on the SharePoint intranet ("The Source"), ensuring it drives engagement, transparency, and collaboration across our three regions and 1,100 team members. Core Responsibilities Deliver and evolve our "People" communications strategy across all regions, supporting team member engagement, cultural initiatives and employer branding. Manage the strategy and delivery of our SharePoint platform - from the Group level ( _The Source_ intranet), to local level (region/department-specific sites), and personal level (key actions, personalised content). Act as digital platform lead for internal communications, ensuring integration and optimisation across tools such as Yammer, email newsletters, and other internal channels. Own communication partnerships with specific business units, aligning outputs with Lightsource bp objectives and supporting business delivery. Gather and analyse local team member sentiment and provide actionable insights to inform global strategies. Coordinate and execute internal events - from global campaigns to virtual townhalls - ensuring alignment with brand tone and values. Collaborate with marketing colleagues to develop social media content, employer branding materials and multimedia storytelling. Support rapid-response communications for emerging business needs and announcements. Who we're looking for Knowledge Exceptional writing and editing ability - confident across short-form (social posts) and long-form (blogs, thought leadership, announcements). Demonstrated experience in managing SharePoint as an enterprise communication platform - including site architecture, content strategy, governance and personalisation. Strong understanding of internal digital communication tools and how to leverage them to drive engagement and collaboration. Awareness of evolving communications trends and ability to adapt strategies for a global and culturally diverse audience. Qualifications Degree or qualification in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, English, or Graphic Design (preferred but not essential). Experience Significant experience in a marketing/communications role, ideally in a global or multinational business. Proven success creating and delivering content across multiple channels for diverse audiences. Experience in managing multiple priorities in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.
