Are you ready to take on an exciting new challenge? If so our Employment and Pensions team in Birmingham are seeking a dedicated individual to join as a Legal Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential administrative support within a dynamic legal environment.
The Role
As a Legal Assistant in Employment and Pensions, you will:
1. Manage filing systems, including opening and closing files, and maintain electronic document management.
2. Assist fee earners with billing, credit control, and ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
3. Produce, engross, and compile documents, including managing data-rooms and electronic storage.
4. Conduct legal research and obtain official documents from local authorities and third-party providers.
5. Enter and update client details in the firm's Client Management System.
6. Provide administrative support, including scanning, photocopying, and managing correspondence.
The Candidate
The ideal Legal Assistant candidate will:
7. Demonstrate exceptional client service skills and a proactive attitude.
8. Be enthusiastic, flexible, and capable of working autonomously.
9. Have strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
10. Be proficient in Microsoft Office and have previous administrative experience (desirable).
11. Be a committed team player with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
