Job Opportunity: Functional Skills Tutor – DE11 (Swadlincote) We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Functional Skills Tutor to support learners in the DE11 Swadlincote area. Role Overview: As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will deliver engaging and tailored Maths and English sessions to learners working towards their Functional Skills qualifications. You will play a key role in helping students build confidence, improve essential skills, and achieve their learning goals. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality Functional Skills (Maths and English) sessions Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learner needs Track and monitor learner progress Support learners in preparing for exams and assessments Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence in learning Requirements: Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths and/or English Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to motivate and support learners of varying abilities Teaching/tutoring qualification preferred (not essential depending on experience) Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Details: Location: DE11 Swadlincote ⏰ Start: ASAP Hours: Part-time / flexible (Monday to Friday) Contract: Temporary / ongoing opportunity Why Apply?
