Overview
The post will be part of the HSSPCT, working closely with the BHST Emergency Department (ED) and the wider RVH Emergency Village clinical team in the transformation of palliative and end of life care in the Emergency Village. Main Purpose of this role is to Provide front line staff specialist palliative care to patients who attend the ED and may have or have palliative and end of life care needs. Provide front-line specialist palliative care to patients who attend the ED and have unmet palliative care needs. Provide early intervention for symptom control and advance care planning in patients needing admission. Provide Support for carers and family during this crisis. Engagement and partnership working with community services to explore discharge options if appropriate. Provide support and education for ED and RVH Emergency Village. The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner, clinically, professionally and practically with an expert knowledge in specialist palliative care.

Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years post registration experience relevant to the role including 2 years at Band 6.
* Degree in Nursing or health related subject.
* Possess advanced communication skills training or prepared to work towards.
