ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
* Build and promote a strong culture of commercial awareness within the project team
* Ensure compliance with company governance and procedures
* Produce internal and client-facing commercial reports
* Prepare valuations/applications for payment with supporting documentation
* Compile cost reports and ensure contractual compliance
* Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts from requisitions through to final accounts
* Lead on subcontract and material procurement schedules
* Administer contracts, including change management and risk identification
* Apply cost allocation and coding to meet internal/external requirements
* Measure works to standard methods
* Engage positively with client representatives
* Support, mentor and manage junior commercial staff
ABOUT YOU
* Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
* Strong civil engineering and/or rail background (rail experience preferred)
* Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor
* Professional membership (RICS / ICES) or working towards chartership
* Sound understanding of NEC contracts and standard methods of measurement
* Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
* A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites when required will be required

* £65,000 - £75,000 basic salary with a discretionary bonus
