Role Summary
As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with Account Executives (AEs) and Technical Account Managers (TAMs) in the SME segment to drive regional and corporate growth. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers design and adopt solutions on the Qualys platform across asset and vulnerability management, patch management, threat detection and response, compliance, and cloud/application security.
This is a highly visible, hands-on individual contributor role with close collaboration across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Partners, and senior customer stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
1. Lead technical strategy for pre-sales opportunities and secure the technical win.
2. Discover, document, and prioritise customer security and compliance requirements; map to end-to-end Qualys and partner-integrated solutions.
3. Deliver architecture workshops, whiteboarding sessions, technical deep dives, and stakeholder presentations.
4. Design and execute high-quality Proof of Concept (POC) / Proof of Value (POV) engagements.
5. Identify gaps between current and target state; recommend solution patterns and adoption plans.
6. Build trusted relationships with technical and security decision-makers.
7. Support proposal development with clear technical differentiation and business value.
8. Provide structured field feedback to Product Management to inform roadmap and enhancement priorities.
9. Produce technical enablement content (solution guides, white papers, blogs) and support sales enablement.
Required Qualifications
10. Experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, solution architecture, or customer-facing security architecture roles.
11. Hands-on expertise in multiple areas such as asset management, vulnerability management, patching, policy/compliance, cloud security, application security, and threat detection/response.
12. Ability to design complex, end-to-end security architectures from identification through remediation and recovery.
13. Working knowledge of common security/compliance frameworks.
14. Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
15. Strong communication and presentation skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
16. Self-starter with strong collaboration and stakeholder management capability.
Preferred Qualifications
17. Direct Qualys platform experience preferred; equivalent security platform experience welcomed.
18. Experience supporting SME customers.
19. Track record of influencing product direction through customer and field feedback.
