Workflow Optimisation Administrator/Admin Assistant
We are looking for a Workflow OptimisationAdministrator/Admin Assistant join our friendly and busy GP Practice.This role is offered on a part-time basis for 30.5 hours per week.The work pattern will be Monday 8.00 to 5.30, Tuesday, 8.00 to 5.30, Wednesday1.00 to 5.00 and Friday 8.00 to 5.00.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide administrative support to theClinical Team by streamlining the flow of clinical correspondence through theorganisation by reducing the number of letters that the GPs need toprocess.
You will also be required to carry out a range of otheradministrative jobs to include monitoring of the Practice administration emailaccount, filing and scanning of incoming documents and telephone tasks for thePractice.
We are looking for someone with previous workflowexperience, who has strong IT skills and who can workefficiently andaccurately. You must also be able to work bothautonomously and as part of a team.

Job responsibilities
The main duties of the job:
* To follow the Practice Workflow Optimisation Protocol
* Read all documents and incoming patient correspondence
* Highlight and action all requests and signpost to the appropriate teams
* Code all relevant diagnosis
* Decide whether the document is suitable for file and completion or whether further action is required
* Scan patient correspondence one the medical record and workflow to correct route
* Monitor Practice email account and action accordingly
* Contact patients to organise appointments, further tests at the request of the GPs
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
* AMSPAR Medical Terminology qualification
Experience
* Experience of workflow, processes and document handling
* Experience of clinical coding
* Experience of using IT systems in a healthcare setting including EMIS
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Experience of working in a GP Practice
