The business is a leading waste management and recycling organisation seeking a proactive Environmental Advisor to support multiple sites across the UK. Working as part of an integrated SHEQ team and reporting to the Head of SHEQ, you will join an expanding business that is moving into export markets and diversifying its operations.
This role offers flexibility and variety, allowing you to be based at either their main site in Preston, Lancashire or their second site in Hitchin, near Luton.

The Role:
1. Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections to ensure environmental compliance.
2. Nationwide travel.
3. Day-to-day diversity in tasks.
The Person:
1. Experience in waste management, recycling, utilities, heavy industry, or high-risk environmental sectors (e.g., steelworks, utilities, construction).
2. IEMA qualification (or willingness to obtain with company support).
3. Experience dealing with the Environment Agency and knowledge of permitting requirements.
4. Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays.
