Pharmacist -
I am currently accepting applications from registered pharmacists to work within a clinical setting.
As a pharmacist, you will build relationships with a variety of health professionals and improve the lives of patients from all walks of life. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where you can deliver genuine care.
The role
This role will be based in Belfast on a full-time basis
Eligibility Criteria
1. MPharm - essential
2. Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI), or eligible for membership
3. Right to Work in UK/Northern Ireland
Salary
Band 6 £37,350 annual (+ holiday pay + pension & dicsount benefits)
Band 7 £43,742 annual (+ holiday pay + pension & dicsount benefits)
Job responsibilities:
4. Participate in the work of the dispensary, including clinical and accuracy checking of prescriptions and dispensed medicines, both within the dispensary and at ward level.
5. Review and assess inpatient and outpatient prescriptions for legality, accuracy, safety and appropriateness of drug therapy.
6. Ensure all work completed complies with Medicines Ethics and Practice, local policies and procedures, risk management and health and safety policies and protocols.
7. Communicate recommendations on drug therapy to doctors, nurses and other relevant health care professionals.
8. Liaise with relevant clinical pharmacists on patient care issues.
9. Dispense and supply medicines.
10. Advise patients on concordance with their medicines.
11. Receive, store and supply controlled drugs in accordance with the Misuse of Drugs Act and Trust policy.
12. Dispense clinical trial drugs according to protocols.
13. Provide a professional and courteous service to patients, staff and other health care staff attending the dispensary
