The Grade 6 Team Leader helps support the Shift Manager in the Nut department by coordinating daily tasks and guiding the team to meet production, quality and safety standards. You’ll oversee day‑to‑day activities on the line, support changeovers, solve basic issues and keep the area running smoothly. The role also involves helping train and support colleagues while maintaining good GMP, efficiency and teamwork across the shift.

Leadership Responsibilities
* Deputise for the Shift Manager, including daily staff allocation and supervision of the production area.
* Ensure GMP, food safety and health & safety standards are met at all times.
* Lead meetings and support effective communication across the team.
* Coach, train and develop staff to build skills and support job rotation.
* Manage resources, oversee changeovers and sign off finished product quality.
Operational Responsibilities
* Produce product to specification and QAS standards, completing accurate data capture, quality checks and CCP inspections.
* Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment.
* Supervise staff during daily tasks and support smooth workflow.
* Operate or oversee equipment including nut bulk production, P200, baggers, fruit and nut packing, whip packing, Sollich finished goods and Nut Egg production.
* Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG, with knowledge of GMP, food safety, and health & safety standards.
* Proven leadership ability, including supervising staff, allocating work, supporting development, and communicating effectively.
* Strong technical and quality focus.
* Good problem‑solving and organisational skills, able to manage resources, oversee changeovers and maintain safe, efficient operations.
* Desirable training, such as Food Safety Level 2, basic Health & Safety training (e.g., IOSH), or experience with lean/continuous improvement tools (not essential).
* 6.6 weeks of annual holiday entitlement (20 days pro‑rata).
