Who You Are You are an experienced Social Worker with expertise in community care, safeguarding, and support planning for adults. You possess a relevant Social Work qualification, such as a Degree in Social Work or DipSW, and are registered with the HCPC. You have a commitment to continued professional development within the field and a strong understanding of legislation relevant to service areas, including the Children Act and the Mental Health Act. You can work independently, manage complex cases, and provide expert opinions while ensuring a duty of care and safeguarding adults and children from abuse and neglect. What the Job Involves You will carry a caseload and undertake various community care and safeguarding assessments for complex or unusual cases. Your key tasks will include providing information and support to individuals, families, and communities, and offering expert opinions. You will be responsible for liaising with other departments and agencies, accurately recording and analyzing information, and fulfilling statutory safeguarding duties. You will work across organizational boundaries, contributing to the work of developing multi-agency teams, and maintain case notes for reports and court proceedings. Additionally, you will recruit, train, and support prospective carers and adopters, providing financial advice and working on the frontline in tandem with other professionals.
