We are currently looking for an Installation Manager Outdoor Art to join our Hayward Gallery team on a part time permanent contract.
The Outdoor Art Installation Manager oversees at least three large-scale outdoor projects per year for the Visual Arts department across the Southbank Centre. Key responsibilities include planning, installation, de-installation, and maintenance for assigned projects, as well as providing technical support for smaller-scale outdoor installations.

The annual salary stated is based on the Full-Time Equivalent (40 hours per week). If the job is part-time, the weekly hours will be stated within the advert.

Key Responsibilities
* Project manage all technical aspects of your allocated visual art projects, which could include outdoor commissions, indoor exhibitions and other visual art projects at the Southbank Centre, keeping the Senior Installation Manager and curatorial colleagues updated on progress and issues.
* Lead on planning of installation/deinstallation of your assigned visual art projects, developing in depth installation schedules, to lead teams during installs/deinstalls which will include in-house technicians, freelancer technicians and contractors, ensuring teams are supported and work is delivered on time and to required standards.
* To provide detailed costs for production, fabrication and maintenance, advising the curatorial team and on the level of budgets required, and to monitor costs during the project, working closely with the Senior Installation Manager and curators to advise on any cost fluctuations.
Skills & Experience
* Highly organised with demonstrable experience of technical project management and planning of complex outdoor visual art projects.
* Confident communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
* Demonstrable experience of managing large teams of art technicians and contractors to deliver projects on time and to the highest standard.
* Experience of monitoring budgets for visual art projects.
* Proven experience in developing creative solutions to technical challenges.
