Job Description
Our friendly team in Desborough has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis!
As a Quality Supervisor, you will ensure the day-to-day running of the quality and hygiene functions and liaise closely with site customers to ensure production documents, quality checks, and GMP comply with business and site standards.
Salary: £38,000 per annum.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week, working between 6 am and 6 pm.
Key Duties of a Quality Supervisor:
1. Effectively manage & motivate a team of people and drive them to be continuously audit-ready.
2. Manage the day-to-day activities of the site QAs and hygiene team, ensuring the required standards are set.
3. Have day-to-day contact with our customer base as required, including responding to queries and complaints.
4. Act as the Food Safety and HACCP lead for the site.
5. Participate in site audits and customer visits, and complete internal audits including GMP.
6. Collate data related to incidents, non-conformances, complaints, etc.
7. Complete complaint analysis and communicate KPIs internally and externally.
8. Initiate incident investigations, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
9. Analyze and contribute to the continual improvement of IPS processes, including root cause analysis where necessary.
10. Adhere to and promote best practices in health, safety, and quality regulations.
Qualifications
1. Experience working in a food quality environment within a quality role.
2. Minimum 2 years of quality experience, including understanding of quality management systems and GFSI certification.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and coach positively and clearly.
4. Experience managing a team and fostering an open, collaborative culture, encouraging new ideas.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines.
6. Ability to work under pressure both as part of a team and independently.
