Job Description:
Do you have recent procurement experience supporting a broad range of indirect categories? We’re seeking a Category Manager to join our Procurement team on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract. You’ll manage and implement the UK and Ireland (UK&I) Procurement strategy within the defined scope, following Category Management Processes and the RACI matrix.
You will work to increase efficiency, ensure compliance with FCA/PRA requirements, reduce costs, and follow best practices. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to and develop our business functions, ensuring supplier relationships meet FCA/PRA compliance and mitigate business risks.
At AXA, we promote flexible working, allowing team members to balance home and office work. Expect to spend at least 40% of your week away from home, with most of your working week from September 2025 at our office locations, visiting clients, or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, assess, and challenge business requirements, maintaining relationships and achieving optimal commercial results.
* Lead the delivery of processes and initiatives to establish best-in-class policies, processes, or services.
* Develop the Category Strategy independently when not supported by a Global Category Manager.
* Manage UK&I Procurement processes, policies, and procedures (RFP, RFI, etc.) per local and Group standards.
* Negotiate and implement contracts for UK categories, ensuring compliance with service, performance, and quality standards, and proactively managing risks with suppliers.
* Understand the budget approach with Finance and business owners to ensure proper budget utilization, optimization, and compliance.
* Utilize procurement tools and best practices to improve efficiency, deliver savings, and meet KPI objectives.
